Abby is a natural trailblazer and professional in private philanthropy and not-for-profit sectors. She specializes in the creation and implementation of strategic partnerships, program organization, and operational management. Before her work in private philanthropy, she was an adjunct assistant professor and lecturer at distinguished institutions, including Old Dominion University and The Governor’s School for the Arts. Abby’s professional history includes years of service to not-for-profits across several fields including education, healthcare, and the arts. While standing up VoLo Foundation, a prestigious climate-science fund in Florida, she founded Useful Views Philanthropy to help other individuals and businesses incorporate long-term social and environmental strategies. She is currently the Director of Charitable Giving at the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties, and an active board member of Impact the Palm Beaches. She is also the philanthropic contributor for The Daily Drip, a newly launched media company in Florida, focused on highlighting female entrepreneurship and partnerships. She attended Florida State University before earning an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kent in Canterbury, England, and a master’s degree from Winthrop University in South Carolina. She is a certified Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) from the American College of Financial Services.
